Getting ACL repair surgery next week, and I’m going to bike there. Partly cuz I think it’s funny and partly cuz it’ll be my last ride for 2-3 months (hopefully!). Biggest obstacle? The damn surgery center is in Eagan and it’s not easy to get to! - ThreadSky

I rode my bike to an ACL surgery---it was 45 years ago. But I did it for the same reason----it was going to be my last ride for 2-3 months. Also, I was 20 years old, on my own and it was how I got to the suburban hospital for my surgery.

ACL surgery is so much better and less intrusive now—-heck, you may be back on the bike in 8 weeks……just not doing 75 mile days right off the bat!
