Since WWII, it’s been standard for Americans to describe their country as “a democracy.” The only people who dissented from that norm were fascists or Birchers. Over the past 10 years, MAGA influencers have pushed the idea that the US is NOT a democracy into the mainstream of GOP discourse.

The idea that North Korea is a democracy is just one of Charlie Kirk's many, many problems.
The problem is people that believes that because something is named some way, then necessarily that name is true.

Using North Korea as a comparison gives the uneducated more ammunition. Making democracy no more understood than their claims of Marxism/communism.
