Tough news on the local front. Our historic rape and murder factory burned down. They didn't use it for rape and murder anymore but a lot of people liked to get their senior photos taken there for some reason. Our economy is devastated

You need to understand; the whole controversy with the rape and murder factory's history wasn't the rape and murder, it was about factory's rights. The people focusing on the rape and murder are taking a deliver and maliciously divisive view of the past.
Plus, only about 5% of the population had a rape and murder factory. What about the other 95% who dreamed about having one, only to have that dream crushed under the authoritarian boot of federalism.
I learned about a serial killer in the UK who turned his house into a rape and murder factory and after he KHS and his wife went to prison for life they tore the whole thing down and turned it into a park, so weird people wouldn't go there to celebrate rape and murder.
For those wanting to get married at an historic murder factory, you can still book this stunning reproduction of a nineteenth century murder factory for your weddings and senior photos. There is even an elevated stage so all of your relatives can watch, even if they are sitting in the back row.
You have to understand, it was a big employer. A lot of the people who live here are descended from the folks who did the rape and murder at the factory. So there's some local pride there too
Always important to remember that it isn’t about the rape and murder it’s about celebrating our proud history of rape and murder. Completely different.
Fom the NYT: "In this small American town, residents swear by the high school football team, the local diner's apple pie, and the historic rape and murder factory. But now, the woke mob wants to take all of it away."
quick question, did the rape and murder factory have an architecturally interesting design? Or perhaps some interesting period pieces, like old silverware or windowpanes? And did the rape and murder factory focus on these historical curiosities while sort of not mentioning the rape and murder?
I’ve been to some of these old plantations, they rarely put a big focus on the slavery aspect of their history. They are VERY sanitized and frankly should all be restructured to have their exhibits resemble the kinds you’d see at former Nazi concentration camps.
It had some exquisite rape and murder style architecture, the exact type that one would expect to see in a rape and murder factory built in the rape and murder era.
They probably mentioned the noble war fought to keep the rape and murder factory operational. Less so the decades of insurgency attempting to revitalize it.
No sympathy for slavers or the ones that glorify it. That is a stain on our history and something to be remembered solemnly so that we never abuse our fellow man in that way again. I grew up in the south and I guarantee you that anyone that owns a house like that is racist asf and proud of it.
people dont understand that the reason i fly this Rape and Murder flag in front of my house is because of the history, and the pride that i have for our town and our country, not because of the rape and the murder
I'm proud of my town and country and will gladly accept all symbols related to it even if they are specifically about the historical rape and murder that took place there. Maybe especially those symbols associated with rape and murder as opposed to any of the more innocuous symbols for some reason.
The anti-rape-and-murder-factory crowd would have you believe we don't need to preserve the actual R&M Factory, because the R&M era is well-documented, but honestly I don't like how all that stuff makes me feel and we're working to make it illegal to teach kids that we did that.
