Also, modernise? Modernise?! I'm wrangling with CoPilot every day whilst lamenting the 'too difficult' problem of getting access to contemporaneous medical records and explaining the 'not a taxi' nature of the ambulance service. Still!
And a system that tells me when test results are available or when a patient has DNA. And doesn't make me reorder from scratch.
And a system that alerts if patient in hospital resulting in a 'DNA'. I could go on and on. It's really hard to do a good job with poor IT.
Mr Streeting talks about letters/texts/calls about clinic appointments. We need an appt system that works. There is nothing more frustrating than patient not getting letter for an appointment, people not getting discharged from system. Inefficient dysfunctional admin is causing a lot of waste/stress
I mean, give us a proper budget, motivated staff and up to date kit (especially IT and software) and the modernisation will pretty much happen without being forced. 🙄😡

Genius!
Manage all emergencies. Reduce waiting lists. Receive less for the care provided. That'll sort the NHS out

Rather than paper scanned in and multiple apps for ordering and viewing investigations.
