There once was a sheep on the hill,
Who started to feel rather ill.
With a cough and a sneeze,
It dropped to its knees,
As bird flu swept in for the kill.
I just need to replace my nitriles, as they're useful for everyday painting, toxins etc. Got loads of trekking eqpt so can be v.self-sufficient.
Been veggie for over 6 yrs now, wouldn't go back.
(But not obsessive about it; friend made me a chicken salad when I visited and I didn't say a word π)
Ugh . We've enjoyed not having the chickens shut up ( we have a free range flock) . Lock down is so much harder for them - they cannot read a book or surf the internet. We provide as much enrichment but I'm winding my flock down :(
and it has what looks like a serious impact rate ? now that could be good as covid was perfect for not being that serious for majority of us (initial illness) but enough to kill ... however given the total mess in the US now, you do wonder when we have to stop travel

We moved back to Devon last year. In convo with a fried she was excited because we have seen a hare, twice.
Apparently mine jumped from the rabbits to the hares 3 or 4 years ago. 1st time. Wiped the poor fuckers out.
Itβs only a matter of time before it mutates a way to do person to person contact. Oh boy.

Before anyone panics, are we ABSOLUTELY sure it's not a penguin with a rubber glove on its head again?
It lives up on the hill
But Mary's lamb has got the flu
Now Mary's very ill
(Better rhymes must be available)
"Mary had a little lamb, but it was always gruntin', so when she could not take it more, she kicked the little c..."
