I've recently retrieved this 💎from my bookmarks on guidance fading -an illustrated explanation and an example. Very interesting. I love how in the first diagram the concepts are written inside the little shapes, because they are made of *connections* between neurons. That was striking to me.

I can think of several quiet girls I've taught who have very challenging home lives: we have only known this because they happen to have brothers who externalise their suffering like Haydn. How I have worried about those girls as they become teenagers.

And those without brothers where there was just no sign.. for me the blog post is about how much we might miss and how important it is to know kids well so there is someone why can go to and say "things really are not ok."
