"Judeo-christian values" is a pretty offensive phrase to one half of the duo, and I don't offend easily

Once again I am pleading for those who appeal to "Britain's Judeo-Christian traditions" to identify the Judeo bit of whatever it is they are talking about. The York pogrom? The expulsion of 1290? The 1905 Aliens Act?

We have been studying Merchant of Venice with Y9 and it’s boggling to realise that Shakespeare likely never even met a Jew, given that Jews had been expelled from England in the 1200s.

The word "Judeo-Christian" came into circulation following the Holocaust as Christian theologians tried to reset the church's teaching to acknowledge that Jesus was Jewish.
