As a person who is from rural Kentucky and and lived in this state my whole life, I can honestly say I’ve never found a single piece of fiction in any medium that accurately portrays any of the several different rural Kentucky accents.
“Yeah, it’s anotha standoff… yeah, in the animal lab… yeah, the horseshoe crab again… keys to th’ executive washroom this time… ah know, but we cain’t get rid of it. No one else knows how ta program th’ VCR.”
