Ah man combat is so much deeper and engaging than this for me. Pictos and Luminas allow you to tailor play-styles per characters and use them like a Job! Every character has a unique kit that scales or even augments each other in fun ways! Parrying can totally turn a losing fight around.
Yeah sadly I’m just not a huge fan of jobs. I like things that make characters their own person and while I think most are neat ideas on paper I don’t think they translated well for me. I want to finish the game but I’m just not in a rush to sadly.
Ha! Similar for me, but E33 is what helped Jobs really click for me. I used to not like micromanaging the party but Lumina love now has me grinding the gang into kickass multi classes in Bravely HD with great delight
I think people are responding less to “parry good” and more with how involving and active the battles can be. Elemental stacking, gunshot weaknesses, AP buffs, Sciel 5000% damage gains — there’s lots to enjoy in this
