I had a sudden bout of anxiety thinking about the day lilies we planted last year and usually have in abundance around the mailbox by the "curb". There are definitely cats that roam our housing community.

One of my cats died from kidney failure at 9yo. He had chronic kidney issues but we didn't know until after he died what it was, even having taken him to the vet over the years. I wish I had known when they were kittens 😿

yes...I had to get rid of all my plants when I adopted G (totally 100% worth it)--I *did* purchase a ponytail palm because 1) not toxic 2) G shows little interest (there are so many other things here to destro--I mean *amuse* herself with)

All my plants are outside EXCEPT for a maidenhair fern (which can't be out at night because it's still too cold) and a succulent I rescued from Lowe's for a buck. The maidenhair has to stay closed up in the shower and the succulent is on the bookshelf where little Miss Lili Marlene can't get to it.

Lillies aren't good for humans either, they can trigger psychotic episodes for some people.

Basically lillies are for the outside.

Also, I see now that Lillies are toxic and also that there are quite a lot of plant species that could be potentially lethal to cats. I will start making a lists and also add the various natural and pharma remedies. I love learning new things
