UX designers: picture your target persona. Are they white, affluent, abled, otherwise privileged? Are those traits documented, or just unconscious "defaults"?

What I remember most clearly from it is how they talked about designing for edge cases first. "Take care of the edges, and the middle takes care of itself." Something like that.
