I don’t use an e-bike but also find this « cheating » narrative absurd, insulting and just plain stupid. Bikes are primarily transport, cycling your commute is great for mental health (and punctuality) but not a competition. E-bikes let you go further or not need to shower at the destination.

I love having an ebike. I have a problem with snobbery. Cycling is a glorious thing; at its heart, it's what you make it. It's fun, it's liberating, it can be sociable, it makes places better. It takes us to those places, and back. No-one hears they're cheating for driving, so can we drop the BS?
