I took my first ambulance ride last night because I had almost all of these symptoms last night. After 2 blood draws, multiple EKGs, an Xray, heart ultrasound, a shot of gravol and about 7 hours in the hospital, I did not have a heart attack. I’m home and I’m okay. 1/ - ThreadSky

I was very light head, the most nauseated I’ve ever felt, cold and clammy, and my chest was under pressure - breathing was a conscious effort. Ambulance came within 5 mins and the EMT crew were lovely. ER nurses were as always saints, and the ER doc was kind and sweet. /2

Anyway it was not a heart attack. All the tests came back negative, but I was right to come in because ALL the symptoms matched up. I think the doc said it could be esophageal reflux or something but I can’t remember.

My Dad was 26 when he had his first heart attack followed by a stroke. My Mom was 40 when someone told her to take aspirin for her heart attack, made it significantly worse. I was 21 the first time I had to wear a monitor. When it comes to the heart everyone is different. Listen to your body.

Men seem to experience the feeling of bad heartburn and women feel it in their middle back/ shoulder area apparently. Glad you’re ok though.

I'm so glad it wasn't a heart attack! You did the right thing for sure. And the 3 times EMTs/first responders have come to our house it has been a quick and thorough response. They are an integral part of the system.
