There has to be a system part to a design system. UI elements on their own do not make a desire system. So glad to find someone else who knows this.

Do you all build your library as svelte or web components??

I build mine as svelte components. I maintain several packages, tokens, styles, icons, etc, but the main component library is built in Svelte.

This is why people ask me to implement things that break the Material Spec in SMUI. Nobody reads it. :(
