It turns out it's the link you posted - it has a tracker ( please don't do that, its not cool ) that redirects specifically to Amazon US. And Amazon US it not allowed to sell books in Europe, I think. Manually searching it on Amazon Germany allowed me to buy it.
I see! it wasn't a tracker, it was a tiny-url conversion so it would fit the short post (but you are right, it directed to the US site). Thanks for figuring this out!
