Reporting is actually very expensive and can’t be duplicated by a person with a phone.

the LA fires inspire a lot of thoughts, one being how absolutely baby-brained some people are to think that journalists with personal blogs can replace the resources, teamwork, and coordination of actual newspapers

PS, can you not tag people in comments?
When it’s not typically some 15 year old boy getting the scoop with the truth, live streaming on his phone
Whilst the main news networks sit on the truth to broadcast the opposite
Major outlet news/Journalism have made their bed - they can lie in it
Which is a damn shame because many of the existing news networks aren't allowed to use the word "genocide" or the phrase "climate change" even when reporting directly on those issues.
If legacy news media isn't giving us accurate news then it should die.
Smfh.
I trust you but....
It does truly suck for those of us who believe in the need for a robust 4th Estate, but blaming news consumers in the current milieu seems incorrect.
If billionaires control the press, we need a movement to make truth louder than money.
I can’t afford an editor either.
Journalists continuing to associate with corporate owners that dgaf about truth are culpable for the mistrust of the industry.
When you ignore the code of ethics, there's consequences.
*Dissemination* is expensive
Media companies are now just billionaire toys
This asymmetry is bad.
Live news reporting hasn't been good, and has been getting worse, for decades. The networks used to have branches and reporters in cities all over the world to cover breaking news. Now they rely on LOCAL reporters and FOUND footage from civilians with iPhones.
Thank you to all of you who do it!

how HARD can it be?
Networks of people sharing things on their phones is the best we can hope for right now. It'll have to do.
I'm done trusting corporate media. Not CNN, not MSNBC, certainly not Fox or NewsMax.
#NewsPunditsSuck
Huh??
Yeah that’s right. Those influencers. They got it down.
Now let me tell you about this great dietary supplement.
