Hate to burst your bubble… the Christmas Tide runs through Epiphany. So it isn’t over until Jan 6 (Epiphany). The good news (?) is that Retail has already moved on
Well, since noones going to be there to listen to it on christmas, may as well have pre-music of it before it hits. Unless you wanna be there then and listen to it.🤣👍
24th, half day, 25th and 26th everything is closed. 27-30th everythings open and people are like animals trying to exchange in gifts due to boxing day and all that. Who the heck listen to music when they are acting like its black friday...
Hon. What planet you live on? It’s been since Fresh Prince OBA for Xmas Muzak plays beginning Pre Thanksgiving. You just now hearing it? Count your blessings.
Eh. The Christmas season in the traditional understanding begins at sunset on Christmas eve, until sunset on January 6, the Feast of the Epiphany. Which is why you have the 12 days of Christmas. It's a Christian liturgical thing. Christmas is a Christian Solemnity: The Nativity of the Lord.
Right now, it's the season of Advent, which is when we prepare ourselves for Christ's coming. Calling this 'Christmas' is a bit like opening your presents too soon.
I just posted ON MY PROFILE a 130 #YouTubeMusic playlist containing a lot of new Hip-Hop Rap Music from #TylerNichoLasCasey #LordVazer please listen and share thank you! Happy Hollidays! Merry Christmas AND ALL A HAPPY UPCOMING NEW YEARS!
What bothers me more than the Christmas music starting the day after Halloween on our local station is the abrupt discontinuation of it at 12:01am on December 26. Seems harsh.
Let's all demand: No Christmas music until Christmas Day!
AND only between the hours of 10am - 3pm.
AND no song can be played more than once (if even that).
not a season as in nature. but like how sponge Bob square pants has different seasons. one could say that Christmas is an episode in the holiday season. hey lil buddy I bet sponge Bob has a Christmas episode, go watch that and let the grown ups worry about music in stores.
We are currently watching my lottery dream home. I think we have seen this ep 58 times now. My 95 yo mom loves HGTV. We could use a corny Christmas movie here

They've run out of a lot of Christmas merch at Walmart (and don't plan to get more): eggnog, wrapping paper, Christmas candy, poinsettias. When asked why, the clerk honestly responded" "Because we started in September."
I have a competition every year with my best friend (both uk) as to who hears xmas music in a store first (November 29) and who sees first xmas products (July 14). Hence being over it by Dec 1st on the regular. (Ramping back up again on Dec 24th)
Ahem Christmas season starts 12:01 the day after Thanksgiving. If you’re honest it started the day after Labor Day. If you want to keep it real it starts in July
The local radio station in my area started 24/7 Christmas songs on Dec 1st.
The grocery has half the shelves filled with pink candy boxes for Valentines Day. Already!
We (Finland/Europe) keep having that earlier and earlier every year, this time it started already in the beginning of November: TV commercials, shops, markets, all public places ringing those awful jingle bells that nobody actually wants to hear! 🤷
Stores are always pretty early for seasonal stuff. That, and a lot of people are doing their shopping before Christmas then staying home with family on the day itself, so may as well play some tunes when the crowds are there.
Fall into the spirit and squirrel away some christmas presents. Yule was yesterday so get them logs burning or made or whatever you do the season is here.
You may be under the impression that Christmas is one day in December. As far as merchants are concerned, it begins in the middle of October and lasts until the middle of January.
I’m afraid the feeling of Christmas this year is a little depressing. Haven’t noticed and lot of cheer, you would think the right would be so happy yet they are not rejoicing. Why, why not what is wrong voter regrets
Sadly Christmas has turned into a license for indulgence where the emphasis is on consuming more, embellishing more, rather than sharing joy with others.
Ah, yes, but now that Musk is president, the price of milk, bread, eggs, and gas have all magically been cut in half. It's literally raining money directly into our bank accounts now. Honest.
I always thought it was funny that people made fun of others who still had their decorations up until the sixth I’m like it’s literally still Christmas and I couldn’t add the magi until today
That's because it's called "Christmas season." I realize there are some merchants who launch the season sometime in September, which is ludicrous, but Xmas songs are not meant only for the day.

I don't like "Christmas" either, it's an excuse for white supremacy to ignore the blood on their hands.

I work retail.
Chinese manufacturing determines our schedule.
I'm shocked!

And my mother in law is with us… so perhaps some gin.
It's a cult.
Jon in front of the store with boombox held over head playing "Do They Know it's Christmas?" and snarkily saying "Clearly NOT" after each chorus
tree down and in the trash on the 26th!!
And it was never very high on the list in the first place.
