Marianne annoys me in a way Louisa never could. The way she treated Mrs. Dashwood & Elinor, whom she supposedly loved...

Also, Louisa was trying to impress FW by not being easily persuaded... Unsilly people sometimes do silly things when...well, was it an actual crush, sibling rivalry or both?

Seriously though, I've seen Persuasion 1995 more than any other Austen adaptation and I still cringe HARD during that scene by the seaside.
