The Lib Dems are urging the government to launch a “Buy British” campaign.
A similar campaign has been launched in Canada, where American goods have been removed from some shelves and Canadian ones promoted instead.

Even the kids are now getting in on this, which is surprising.

Not everyone can do this.
It's just not gonna happen!
A boycott isn’t denying free trade. It’s using freedom to made informed choices.
Suspect interpretation there.
Pretty desperate and/or confused stuff.
Surely you mean buy European?
And join the EU to make it easier?
Pile them on the piers then take off.
Let’s not turn this into anything other than what it is
A lunatic trying to destabilise the world economy because he is a simpleton
The rest of the world needs to isolate the USA & trade with each other
Terrible time not to part of a large trading block
#Brexitstillstupid
Fixed it :)
Sadly, I don’t think there is a US equivalent to boycott!!

Although I find some now foreign owned formerly Canadian shops touting their roots.
The sane World needs to stick together and we will be fine without trading with dictators.
Sorry America, I’ve loved you for decades, but you have chosen the wrong path to your own demise….
The UK should be turning to Canada for a new FT deal to at least maintain some access to the US market until a regime change takes place.
Just an organic, grass-roots, consumer driven response to Trump's threat to Canadian sovereignty.
Retailers can read the room, and have responded accordingly.
Can't say the same for manufacturers, but as the end consumer, it's pretty easy to avoid the american made products.
Our anger is incredibly visceral because of the threat to our sovereignty as well, so there are few of us still buying anything American.
By choice.
Not because our governments started it.
We will never go back to them after this treatment.
Reap what you sow.
You tube New Statesman…..We are working for America .
Angus Hanton .
I remember the last Buy British campaign ….were the mustard coloured Allegros around then ?

I well remember the 'Buy British' movements in the 60s/70s. Much of it was "Stick a union flag on it", "It's crap quality, but buy it to be patriotic". Not mentioning British Leyland, of course.
But politically, I think 'boycott the US' would have had better traction and stood out more from precisely the kind of historic baggage 'buy British' brings.
I agree that 'boycott the USA' is the best option.
'Buy British' brings to mind Giles cartoons, mainly. 🙃
Buyer beware.
I'm checking through what I usually like to buy to find out where I'm shooting myself in the foot. 😬
The grocery stores are also bringing in more Canadian products and labeling them knowing consumers are avoiding American goods.
My budget is £20k.
Options please?
American banks in the UK (if there are any) should be punished.
in Canada we all decided to boycott Merican products.
Our Provincial Governments then decided to follow our lead.
Pressure your grocers, turn american products upside down on the shelves, make noise. label stuff your selves.
Just do it
Anyway, what are you waiting for, boycott ALL American goods. The rest of the free world is … do not travel either - As the UK SUBS found out - in America ICE isn’t for drinks anymore!
Nope, we just dumped everything USA
Buy European.
For starters.
Do you know that "Brannigans" brand in Aldi?.. Comes out of the Heinz factory here.. and the beans have less sugar in them.
Starmer lacks the ability to lead and seems to be most comfortable when following Farage and Tories.
