On Threads, many folks saying their idea for a #TTRPG PC starts before they even look at a character sheet.
This is interesting to me because with most games, I pick a role* I want to play and then the character, personality & other intangibles eventually grow out of that concrete foundation.

I wonder if this is in part because I largely
started with AD&D where it used to be basic stats first (Str - Cha), in part because that would strictly limit what kind of character choices you had. 🤔
But I appreciate a good random character generator and just making shit work. (Maybe with minor edits).
