It is a purely descriptive fact that Biden showed he could win that bloc and no other candidate was viable without it. It served as an extremely powerful signal to other voters and elites alike. It was the whole ballgame.

I think a big reason many southern Black voters were ridin' with Biden is because the overarching narrative was that he was the only guy who could beat Trump. This voting block's number one concern was, understandably, beating Trump. I think that had a major influence.

Biden did beat Trump, but there's no evidence he was the "only" one who would have. And I don't think any group of people acts entirely independently, unaffected by external factors. Is that really your analysis?
