I’m sure it’s a great book and Clarke was a great character but when it comes to turning things around a large chunk of the credit isMonty’s. I don’t think he’s yet had an altogether fair biography?

(less frivolous counterpoint: there's a fair old argument about who deserves credit for which bits of what plan. My only claim is that deception was important, and Clarke deserves a lot of the credit for that.)

Bought this for my husband who is a WW11 buff & whilst had read a number if books about SAS really interested to get to grips with this clever man / thankyou - I too am catching his bug!!
