Wild donkeys?! Did they escape at some point? Or were they released and have adapted to living free? I now have to research that. 🙂

This area has a very long mining history from the 1800's. I know some donkeys were released by miners and I assume some released themselves. Over the years they've endured and survived in this area. There aren't many but we do see them on occasion, sometimes way off in the distance a couple of them.
