The latest shitstorm was kicked off by a video from Zepla, who as a content creator is notable for barely playing game for years and also deliberately playing Hogwarts Legacy specifically so she could upset trans people. She's a leech.

Yeah, there's basically a huge swirl of bad-faith stuff out there for this expansion, moreso than usual.
The outrage merchants have shown up and they're putting out a pile of garbage.
Which as usual overshadows any decent criticism out there.

and again we've been here before- stormblood was a flawed expansion writing-wise and also had the same issue as dawntrail where it had to cram in the introduction of an entire new continent full of cultures- but the nexus of the complaints center on the female leads, wonder why 🤔

And (AFAIK) Stormblood is the one with more actual problems to criticise! Like how you do some imperialism to fight some imperialism.
Then also that extremely mixed bag of patch that makes you agree to capitalist moving in to set up a business to "help" a recovering country and its people.
