Because of their "armor", they can carry disease, including leprosy. They shouldn't be a "pet" - no wild animal should. My understanding is that this is a rescue

I hadn’t used this site for over a year because they didn’t allow videos. But when I said I was going to Threads, people asked me to come here, so I thought I’d give it another try!
God: ok so I know the turtle had some mobility issues if it got onto its back, but we fixed that with the armadillo. Also, and this is super important, make sure we don’t release the leprosy-spreading version; research only made that as a joke.
Right?! It was dead when we talked about it last week. Then I tried it after a bunch of people asked me to, and things just kept getting better! I had to actually look to see if I was on BlueSky and not Twitter earlier, because it's all the same people lol
