It doesn't matter. We are no longer a nation of laws. They will just do whatever they want, and SCOTUS will back them.
The Constitution doesn't matter anymore. Laws dont matter anymore. We're not even guaranteed another election. If we do,it will be Putin-style.

Go about business as usual. They already did this in 2020 in 23 states + DC, it changed nothing. Arguably the National Guard is better about following rules of engagement than municipal police

National Guard definitely better than LAPD/LASD. My concern is that it becomes an excuse for red state govs to call in their NG (and I’m not sure Newsom won’t). And Hegseth wasn’t SecDef in 2020. Though the real concern I suspect is DoJ prosecutions.

The thing is, it's not necessarily that he's going to STOP elections. But he's definitely going to encourage voter suppression and gerrymandering, and pressure election officials in states that might go blue to "lose" votes. And he can bring a lot more pressure to that now.
