This is Goose. He formed a special bond with his next-door neighbor whose own dog passed away. Loves when he gets to run over for another play date together. 14/10 for both

Our cat used to do that, we wouldn’t know where he was “disappearing” from time to time and was never hungry at home except when the neighbors were out or on vacation..😊
What a great neighbor you are! When I fancy something sweet, I bake something, take a couple is slices then send the rest to my neighbor with small children. Lol I think it is good to have a relationship with neighbors.
I run a holiday let.
Last year I had a dutch couple staying, and after meeting Livvy, my rescue Sphynx, I got similar text messages.
"Can we spend the evening with Livvy again?"
They stayed for a week.
They had cat snuggles every evening. :)
So I get this. I totally do.
Dog's are truly amazing, most animals really. We have chihuahua whose natural instinct was to draw my attention to my mother (advanced Alzheimer's, has lived w me 5 yrs now) when she needs assistance. Chichi has been a registered service animal (medical alert) for 4 yrs.
Love this!
Reminds me of Dozer on TT. He is a Hound dog who always visits his neighbours and sometimes will stay the night or go on car rides with them.
I had neighbors years ago who'd had Basset Hounds all their lives, but didn't get another after their last one passed because the husband had become disabled. They adored my Pit, and I'd let him out to run over. He'd jump excitedly on the man, but Bassets are pretty hefty, so it didn't phase him. 🥰
My neighbors dog will now come bark at my door to either come in, or get a hug. When I am releasing him back to his dad I open my door and yell " incoming". Love my rental dog!
Our German Shepard loved the next door neighbors and their kids(and the chicken snacks). He would jump the fence to go to their back door and visit them, their dog and cats. Then he’d come home to us and our lab. He loved us all
Clearly, Goose is a canine of unparalleled excellence and deserves to be upgraded to a rating of 15/10, as anything less would be a egregious underestimation of his obvious greatness.

But during shedding season, there was no end to the hair. Brush all day and there would still be more.
