Seriously, people, we live in the skin cancer capital of the world. Get your skin checked now, and again at the end of summer. Your GP is good, a specialist Dermatologist is better. It may just save your life.

Great message. My dad was a farmer in his youth and now in old age he’s often having bits of him cut off to remove cancer. He can’t go in the sun anymore. Glad to hear you’re being proactive.
And if you are concerned about any, get it taken off anyway. My GP said it’s nothing, the Dermatologist at the Skin Clinic said it’s nothing, I said take it off anyway. It was a Melanoma 2B and ulcerated, 12cm scar along the back of my arm this time last year.
I live in #TAS, highest UV index in 🇦🇺, constantly mocked for using sunscreen & a parasol in summer. As a kid, no Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek & Slide, got sunburned, blistered, peeled, healed, repeat. Covered in sunspots now that must be regularly checked. Haunted by reckless 🌞 ignorance. #Melanoma
I concur. I wear sunscreen every day and wear a hat in the sun and I had a thing cut off my lip yesterday - hoping it’s nothing too nasty. Good luck with your back thing.
I had a melanoma cut out of my leg 5 wks ago. A BTW chat to my GP and it had to come off now & more taken after a + result. A check up last week, he told me I save my own life.
I don’t go out in sun, do all the right things, so to hear I had melanoma was a bit of a shock. Get ur skin checked!
Even if you're young. I have a 29 year old family member who had a melanoma cut out this year. Not even 30 and not an outdoorsy sort of person who spent much time in the sun. Get your skin checked.

Even in a place like Sydney where some summer days can be mild (on the coast anyway) the UV is savage.
