Yeah this is my fear. Villa and Newcastle have proven they can win when the going gets tough and are incredibly hot atm. In the end it would be nice to have assistance but it’s all in our hands to lose. Do the players and manager have it? I don’t think so, but am happy to be proven wrong.

Newcastle are a great team when everyone’s fit, under different circumstances I would have accepted this loss as simply a tough fixture.

But we are definitely better than Villa. They just have a more pragmatic manager, and a squad who performs when it counts. Those margins can make the difference.

I am curious. Do you think we continue with this inverted Caicedo formation? Or do we just play a true midfield 3 with Palmer as a RW? I think this fits us the best

Yeah I think Gusto comes in at RB and we play either Palmer or Neto at false 9. I’d bring in Reece but Maresca has made it clear he sees Reece as a midfielder.
