In short they get remodeled as marionettes and rolled upright across a field, using a crane, in a straight line with their feet glued to the pedals. In large group shots like the ones in The Great Muppet Caper, multiple bikes are railed together to make one large caravan.

In fact if you watch the ending to the "Couldn't we Ride" segment in the Great Muppet Caper, you can see one man on a short trike who is the puppeteer driving the front end of the entire rig of Muppets.
