Totally. The laundromat near my childhood home had this and I spend many a quarter there... plus, pizza pops and those damn giant chocolate cookies they sold? Give a kid a break.
We had this in the arcade at the mall, and there was quite the crowd around it for a while. If I remember correctly it was beatable with a bit less than 5 bucks, like all the games should be! Fun times!
I actually like the Genesis version a little better. That first level had parallax scrolling, which the arcade didn’t. This came with my first Genesis and I remember being blown away by how good it looked when I first fired it up. Then I popped in Revenge of Shinobi. I’ve been hooked ever since!
Me and my brother played this so much but we only ever made it to the last stage without continuing, which we never would because it was considered being a loser lol

It's the little theatrical touches that really set-off a game.
One of the first 3 games I played as a child when I had the sega and the arcade version much later. I even play it today from time to time XD
Or whatever the hell he says
Without looking at Youtube, how does it end?
I MET AN ALTERED BEAST
Why are we still here.. just to suffer?
Spent more money in the starwars sit-in one, though...
Their games were all Gold to me.
Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Shadow Dancer, Alien Storm and of course Shinobi.
I wish that team hand made it to this generation of gaming.
Thank you
