The funny thing about relational databases is that they can have foreign keys to completely separate databases. So if there's a foreign key in the payments table named payee_id then you don't actually need a payee_name column at all.

Per Reuters, Coristine’s LLC, DiamondCDN, provided domain support to the EGodly cybercrime ring that bragged about trafficking in stolen data, including social security numbers, and cyberstalked an FBI agent.

The interviews also show that either they have no idea how large databases are structured, or they lie, or both. In the part of the db they had access to, you would not know what was being paid for; that's not what the org does, it pays out amounts that are authorized.
