I don't think there was a formal declaration but it seemed to really ramp up around the time Europe began thinking about new taxes and data protection laws. Curiously "better together" only matters when Westminster is the only one gaining.

I make a point of surrendering to Europe every time I put my socks on or take them off. So important to deflate the possibility of conflict.
