Whenever I get into a debate with a staunch coloniser the argument always falls into one of two camps:
1. Actually the natives are better off because we took their land

When you study the history you learn that Indigenous peoples were far more independent, enterprising and willing to do business on equal terms with the settlers than people today assume.
What gets me isn’t that they wanna be the bad guy. It’s that they want to be the bad guy and at the same time they want to be seen as the good guy. You can’t have it both ways.
I still don't know what's happening but I'm used to the weather now and realize my home country is run by terrorists and I should probably not go back.
