What is *Mathematics* about?
I'm looking for pithy, engaging, relatable, positive, short (1 or 2 words) about what makes mathematics mathematics? How can you spot it in the wild?
I'm thinking "patterns", "relationships", "shapes", "changes",...
What else?

According to Einstein it’s about space.
And it’s about time, too.
I like that!
That said, I am fairly confident that someone wiser than I did prove that mathematics was not equivalent to first order logic. Maybe Gödel? Maybe Russell?
'They are the same thing' doesn't seem quite right. Close, but not quite.
It's about the application of conjecture based on the noticed patterns and reasoning to establish proof of the extent to which such patterns hold.
Sense making
Ordering/understanding chaos
Making connections
"Sue always wears her blue shoes on Mondays" is a pattern, but I don't think it's math.
