no fan of Kennedy, but this narcan program isn't the one that made the difference. most narcan that saves lives is used by bystanders who use drugs themselves, not cops. bad to cut any of it but getting it to people who use drugs is far more important than getting it to cops.

He wants to feel that he is physically/biologically/morally superior. Narcan is "cheating", ADHD medication is "cheating" (he's self-diagnosed). He didn't have/use those things and he needs the knowledge that others in the same situation are suffering so he can feel confident in his success.

Obviously Narcan and prescription stimulants serve two very different purposes, but what they have in common is that they allow people to survive and/or live better lives when they otherwise may not have. This is an affront to his eugenics philosophy and his sense of unique self-importance.

His brother and niece both died of overdoes. He spoke at his 22-year-old niece's funeral in 2019. I kind of wonder if he thinks it's unfair that he's dealt with so much loss and wants other people to suffer the way he has. Not sure it really matters, but it does seem pretty pathological.
