The purity of sound—vocals, guitar, trumpet—sublime, yes. It’s so refreshing to listen to melody, harmony for its own sake. No screaming, belting and melodramatics. I enjoy the latter, but it’s over used in so much music. Here, each note unfolds and seems—seems—as effortless as breathing. Beauty.
