I think about 37% of qualified voters voted for Brexit. It was enough to win a referendum after a campaign littered with very dodgy practices. To say "Britain chose" is not really helpful. I did warn what bad democracy referendums were in 2014.

It is the voters themselves who always screw it up. Boris, Netanyahu, Putin, Orbán, Wilders and Trump have been elected. Because many people are simply not that nice and therefore think that they can vote for someone who is a asshole, lies and acts unkind.

That's not actually correct. Of those who voted, yes, it was just over half. But if you take into account those eligible to vote, it was barely 37%. And that was 26% of the country. This is on them, not those who wished to be part of a union that brought and offered so much.
