I concur. This raise of the queue started when we stopped paying with cash. How else can you get the bartenders attention without waving your tenner in their face. I think waving your phone isn't as effective

I’d accept the headline if it was a warning that the rightwing populist course the country followed between 2010-2024 was a complete disaster and that there’s a danger that now Reform will take power and go even further in that direction. Somehow I suspect that’s not the line the article is taking….

Queuing at bars is a disgrace, and was pioneered in a number of Wetherspoons. Who stand up for freedom in theory but in practice - get in line and wait for your chance to buy a drink which you were told Brexit would make cheaper. But it isn't.
