Was regular at Divine at Glasgow School of Art, like most of B&S. Looking, listening back their 4/4 songs capture that ‘weird 60s stuff replaces indie music at discos for indie kids’ shift in years that fed Brit pop.

A club with a fine reputation, run by a chap with an absolutely smashing record collection. B&S definitely inspired by the wonkier bits of 60s pop,mashing it up to make nicely wonky contemporary pop. They'd hate to be lumped in with Britpop but they definitely are. It's a badge of honour,not a slur!

Andrew’s friend and lovely bloke, but also a brilliant DJ. I agree. Britpop run up years way more interesting than credited. Indie-ish DJs who’d played a bit of 60s psych / garage stuff kinda discovered beat mixing which opened up entire new suites of music, and of presenting music. Great time.
