I was in the Cross Keys in Covent Garden in the late 1990s. George Wendt was appearing in Art at the time. About 10pm, he walked into the pub and sat at the end of the bar. Just like Norm. People lined up to buy “Norm” a beer until closing time. Apparently he did that every night like clockwork.
