Stan born not long after mine, when Damon and I working at Amato. We got him some baby clothes as present. Shared a “yes, this is your / my life now” silent stare moment of reflection. Haha.

Andrew’s friend and lovely bloke, but also a brilliant DJ. I agree. Britpop run up years way more interesting than credited. Indie-ish DJs who’d played a bit of 60s psych / garage stuff kinda discovered beat mixing which opened up entire new suites of music, and of presenting music. Great time.

Was regular at Divine at Glasgow School of Art, like most of B&S. Looking, listening back their 4/4 songs capture that ‘weird 60s stuff replaces indie music at discos for indie kids’ shift in years that fed Brit pop.

Was at Hyde Park too, with my kid, only really knew a bit of her stuff via her. Was revelation. Properly immersive world.

Used to live across street when was a student. Everything in the market drops in price from 4pm on a Sunday. Get set and make a killing on confectionery multipacks.
