Not in the same league as this, but I once saw a hawk attack the bobbing ponytail of a lady jogger, probably thinking it was a squirrel. Funny thing is, she was in a crosswalk.
No idea what kind of hawk - bigger than a peregrine tho.

Success of their hunts have also left pigeon feathers scattered across the yard.
