There was an old classic Impala in Austin, Texas, gleaming black with the big tailfins, that had VLAD for a license plate. Loved seeing that car every time.
Man, this brings back memories. When I was a kid my family owned a Honda Odyssey, and my go-to line was that it couldn't be all that good a car if it takes 10 years to get anywhere and everyone but the driver dies.
There was (is?) an Odyssey in Illinois with the vanity plate HOMER. Unfortunately I spotted it in the years before cell phones had cameras, so who knows if it’s still in use.
I was thinking of making a bumper sticker with the first line or two of the Odyssey for ours. But maybe in ancient Greek to make it even more obscure. This is simpler, though.
