If they wanted to make something from the 80's into a movie I always thought Thundar the Barbarian would be perfect. It's got it all, Sorcery, Sci-Fi, Chewbacca's cousin, dude with a sword and a lot of backdrops in which your mind goes, "what happened here?".
Someday I’m going to find a magazine dumb enough to pay me to write a retrospective on all the 80s/90s teen and pre-teen versions of previous properties like Yo Yogi or The New Archies.
I watched this with my great grandmother as a kid EVERY SATURDAY. This was our special time together. We followed it with the MUPPET SHOW.
Gramps was my best friend. I was the only person she remembered when she got dementia. This is and will ALWAYS be my favorite cartoon. All because of her. 🥰🥰🥰
Robotech The Next Generation was my favorite when I was a kid. I recorded all Robotech episodes on my Betamax and watched after school each day. Then I would go outside to ride my bike imagining it was a Cyclone.
OK, I’m gonna age myself. I loved almighty Isis, it was a woman not a terrorist organization at the time. Also, there was this show with the sleaze. A father and his kids went back in time. It was lovely.
