I just don’t like the skinny headlights. If it didn’t have the light bar in the middle, it would look better but the skinny headlights on such a bigger body looks outta proportion.
I can't really get behind any of the newer cars that: A) require paid subscriptions to access features, B) collect more personal/private info than any other device, C) does away with a traditional instrument cluster in favor of a cheap tablet, D) has more cameras than my county courthouse. #dumbcars
The Ioniq 5 is my personal favorite right now. I think the Rivian R3 will probably take the favorite spot once it’s available.
From an entry level perspective the Equinox base model is a pretty good choice with 300 miles of range and an upper to mid 20k price tag with tax credits.
Looks are individual preference, but what IS interesting is that Wall Street banks seem to be trying to unload Tesla/Musk debt. The stock might be high but the leaders appear to have lost confidence in Musk, Tesla and Xitter.
I said it before. It's like Tesla designers just watch movies for their inspiration. No original design imagination. Is it plagiarism? Look at the Cyber truck. Ever seen an uglier thing? Worst use of space, two butt-ended wedges with bland interior put together. Only cultist would pay big $ for it.
Sorry guys and I can't stand the guy but I own Polestar 2 and they may not be in business next year. Tesla is one of two ED'S not only outselling other models, they are making a profit. I'm a liberal in CA but I want an EV that will survive
The idea behind Tesla used to appeal to me, not anymore. I won’t be buying one, ever. The man has now shown his true color and it is orange, just like his bestie in the Oval Office.
I'm still driving my 2014 one; it's the first Tesla I ever bought.
I won't even consider buying another until Musk has been removed from the board, the factories are run by UAW employees, and they have decent design again.
I don't respect Elon but I admire his accomplishments. I think it is irrational to reject the Tesla products based on feelings about Elon. Our war is with Trump.
I'm currently looking for an EV, wasn't ever likely to be a Tesla anyway, but definitely not now. Did test drive one, but didn't like it. Some EV are being rated as ZECF (zero elon cringe factor).
I didn't think they would want to compete with the like of Kia or Hyundai, because the design instantly reminded me of those brand's EVs. Too many good options at that price range now.
Tesla’s are the most dangerous cars on the road. Plenty of EVs that are built better, have better value, and don’t advertise that you may simp for a Nazi.
Two years ago I bought an EV. One of the cars I was looking at was the Model Y. I am so thankful that I didn’t buy the Model Y. And now when I see someone drive a Tesla, I wonder if they are ashamed of themselves or a fascist.
At what point do you admit that you are being attacked & declare #civilwar? When does one say, "Enough, stop destroying the country!"? When do you realize that doing nothing during an invasion is being complicit? When does one realize they will not stop destroying unless you force them to stop?
I have two. Lovely to drive. One from 2017 which has controls that are not insane but made me think Musk was a bit of an idiot. I have another bought in 2021 and it does have insane, controls and I shows Musk is an infantile idiot. The new cars? From the mind of a toddler. Never again.
I still drive the 23 Y. I love it. I can’t drive my cars or decide not to purchase a product based on a CEO. There are more good people responsible for them. Henry Ford was an antisemite, Edison was a border line sociopath & a terrible person, Steve Jobs was a deadbeat dad.
Your car is a tin can with bolts and wheels comparing to the new one if new model Y is anything like model 3 feature wise. I test drove "old" model Y and new model 3, and they were not even close. My family agreed that model Y was terrible. I am driving iX now, and could not be happier.
My tin can is fine for me. Drives well, smooth to drive. Cheap to maintain. I drive it every day and took it for long trips. I’m happy with it and that’s all that matters.
I am not arguing against Tesla in general. I bet if try a new one, and you will drive it home. It is insane how poorly old MY was made and still became the most popular car on a planet.
I also have a 2023 Model Y. I would not say it’s poorly made, but you seem to be comparing a car with a (U.S.) $37,490 base price to a BMW with an $87,250 base price.
For $50,000 more I certainly hope it’s built better.
You misunderstood me. I test drove model 3 and MY in the end of 2024. MY was a tin can comparing to the new M3 - super noisy, creaky, did not understand voice commands, etc. M3 was the next level. I shopped for EV, and ended up with iX, which is a much nicer vehicle than anything Tesla, as expected.
New vehicles are almost always better. I don’t want a new one. I like it. The Y was just simple. More expensive than any other simple ICE vehicle but drives more smoother, not too overly priced than other EV’s and the lack of maintenance what people pay for gas will make up for cost.
Tesla has over 120,000 employees not 1. And Musk does not decide how are democracy gets destroyed that would be the 77,302,580 that voted for Trump. I don’t pick an NFL team to be a fan of based on the owner. The brand is more than the CEO.
You really, really overestimate the influence of Twitter/X. No one I know of who voted for Trump even has an account there.
As for Tesla employees, they are working toward the mission statement: “Accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy.” Or they just need a job. A mobile
technician came to my house to perform a minor repair (yes, Tesla does that). He had been working for the company for 7 yrs. He pointed out the dealerships he worked for previously were family-owned businesses, with no opportunities for advancement and few benefits, unlike a large corporation with
Sure you can. You don't HAVE to buy from creepy, anti-American CEOs. Lots of people didn't buy Fords .. or Edison lightbulbs .. or Apple computers. And their decisions probably had nothing to do with the character flaws of the owners.
Yes I don’t HAVE to. I choose to because it’s a free country and I can make decisions for myself and my family and it’s not based on some rich billionaire’s ideology. And I don’t think he’s anti American. I just think he’s an idiot that thinks he knows what’s best for the country.
Well that sounds good. I guess I just see supporting "idiots" as having the downside of elevating them into power positions where they can implement what they know is best for the country.
I don’t decide what I buy because it’s best for the country. I do care about the country but my purch dec are for my family first and myself. My model Y did not elevate him to power. It probably helped another 120K people though. I think purchasing based on a cancel culture is more stupid
I can't think of a single Tesla that actually looks nice. When compared to models from Nissan, Honda or Lexus, they look like cheap overpriced garbage.
Not many people like the new model. Of Tesla it doesn't get checked like it should they have had a, lot of problems with the Tesla they seem to catch on. Fire
I bought my EV last January. While looking at different companies, I wouldn't even consider a Tesla. I loathe Musk and think his cars are ugly and boring. 🖕 that guy.
The cheapest Rivian - a base truck with the base battery with an unacceptable 258 mile range - costs 2x as much as a Model 3 Long Range that recently made Car & Driver’s 10 best cars. Plus both Rivian models are BIG trucks. The R1T is 217 inches long and wouldn’t fit in my garage.

Tesla SS Model upcoming.
You heard of it?

If were all about to feel the pain pain, then they can go first
You forgot, the guy is a genius.
