Thanks I’ll hold you to that lol. I’m remodeling my shop and just finished up the work table with my table saw built in. I got some hard board, the brown stuff the glue down on the top. Problem is it needs to be above 65 for 3 days. I live on a mountain in VA lol we don’t see 65 at night until July

Incidentally, wood turning is what I consider my main wood working interest. Some folks have commented that they like my work and I should try to sell it. But I haven't been able to square the economics of it. Would love to start a conversation with you about it.

Yeah, I've felt that. There's definitely an edge of workability that I've felt where the lathe is not providing enough torque to be able to efficiently get the work done. I can eventually get what I want made, but it takes babying the machine in many rough-out phases that more power can provide.

And it's not just about power. Speed adjustment is so tedious with this lathe, having to manually adjust reduction ratios.

So I can clearly see where this particular tool wouldn't meet my needs on a production scale, but getting to that scale is a different issue.

My wood turning experience is all about architectural wood turning ,balusters ,post bases ,and large porch posts
My lathe is about 12’ long
Great side hustle ,
I would definitely encourage
