What happened here was monstrous and I'm not at all making light of it, and I hope all involved get buried under the jail
but you couldn't get it after two weeks? Huh.

Apparently he did eventually give in, but escaped when his captors went to find his computer.
Jesus Christ.
I'm shocked that guy lived I'll be real honest. It's miraculous he escaped
And people have withstood horrific no holds barred professional torture, and resisted for days to their death (thinking specifically of two lesbians in a concentration camp) because giving up would have meant not just their inevitable death but OTHERS
But most people ... no. THAT SAID...
But I also think the alleged monsters also were bullshitting themselves that they weren't going to kill this guy because they also weren't cutting bits off him.

Can't kill the guy if he's the only path to the password.
Can't motivate him to give it up since he assumes you will kill him once you have access.
Better plan: take something away you can give back or kidnap his nonna.
Don't quote me.
