This isn't angst fueled atheist stuff (I promise) but religion being heavily politicized has produced this result. People are going to choose the candidate more closely aligned to their perceived rank of importance, religion trumps constitution for most. (also hi, rock chalk, boo mizzou)
Southeast Missouri ranks last in the state in every economic, educational, and healthcare statistic.
The GOP has held a majority in the state legislature for two-plus decades.
Sometimes 2 + 2 =4. 🤷🏼♂️
I always use the example of the fact that Fox News operates out of New York City to prove that Republican politicians and propagandists hate their base voters and would much rather hang out in a cosmopolitan blue city.
They won't because throughout this country's history when your ⚪️own people kick you in the Arse the only people you want to blame is Melanin people ( specifically Black people who advocate for everyone)
I've never been so disheartened about the state of our country. It's unimaginable that so many still stand by this presidential imposter. I was sure that people would wake up by now.
Their realization won’t hit until they are directly impacted. All the facts are there but their ignorance by choice mindset insulates them from the truth.
I think back to that book that came out years ago: “What’s the Matter with Kansas?” that describes this strange phenomenon of Republican voters voting for politicians who make their lives worse. They trade the real help they could be getting for empty culture war claptrap.
Heck with their voters, when will dem voters and some ind voters wake up and realize what is happening. Where are the massive protests? Where is the massive civil disobedience? As long as there is TikTok and sports everything is fine.
I was surprised by the shift in tone at a recent family event in northern Wisconsin. People are starting to realize they’re getting screwed by their own voting choices, although disbelief lingers.
They don't care. They don't respond to our calls or letters. They don't hold town halls. They don't represent us anymore. Every republican incumbent should be voted out in 2026. Enough of this bull shit. End their fucking party for bringing this nightmare on the American people!
If this budget goes through each state will become responsible for snap and other supports. States that are already having budget issues. How will Red states make up all of the cuts?
Fully half of their voters are quite literally incapable of critical thinking, by design. The Republican war on education worked.
I think too many folks are really underestimating just how stupid the average American voter has become thanks to education cuts and the "Blue Checkmark Phenomenon".
It isn't very different than having a friend or family member in an abusive relationship. No matter what he does to them, they might wake up to it for a second, but they always go crawling back after convincing themselves that somewhere, deep down, he really loves them.
They probably do.. if I see the system as the cause of my misery and I expect nothing from it why would I care it if burns. I believe people act for a reason we may not understand it or agree but there is always a reason. The job now is to give people a reason to fight for democracy….
Some have! Lot less flags in North Texas these days. Need to get more diverse news in the area to show them what is going on. If enough voices of fact are repeated in many ways they have a chance to see.

THE MEDIA IS NOT SHOWING OUR PROTESTS. THE BETTER TO FOOL IDIOTS LIKE YOU.
Like, it’s in their mind, it’s part of their identity
Because matter what Republicans do, it will always be better than what radical woke lunatic Democrats would do..
They believe Dems view them as racist, homophobic, sexist, ect.
A few of them know Republicans are mostly full of nonsense, but if they're going to be hated either way then why care.
It’s the BEST of White Power!!
This seems like it will not end well.
