Not at all. The original story was written around 1818 and takes place around that time. I don't think a proper Frankenstein movie has ever been done, so Eggers could have a field day.

Well werwulves only come out under a full moon, so of course it will be dark.
Maybe next he can make a movie about a creature that can only come out on a moonless night, and the whole movie can just be black. Can’t get much darker than that.
